Firstly, hope the person readying this is feeling BLESSED! Ok so this for my girlys who's man likes you to handle these kind of things. My honey found out about Beyond Braids just doing a google search. Sent me her website and it said she was open till 9pm so l called after wk. Which is convenient because it's hard to make business calls while at wk. She answered the call with joy! And asked for pictures, gave me a price range, and next availability. Now my man was indecisive about a day so she was patient with the back and forth. She required a deposit and was unable to use the apps she uses. She said we could just pay cash at time of appointment. Flexible and understanding. I didn't go with him but he says she took about 1 hour 45 minutes. He says she offered him water and was playing gospel music. He felt relaxed and had his eyes closed most of the time. Tells me she has a good spirit. And def gotta be careful about who you let put hands on you. Now my honey has slight thinning at the crown of his hair due to alopecia and previous braider would put mascara to darken it but she didn't do that and it looks great natural! He had hair added in but the ends look natural as well. The parts and braids are neat. He told me she sprayed product and moisturized his hair before starting and moussed at the end. Looked very healthy. She gave a range of $95-120 and advised it would be based on his hair. She charged $95. Fair and reasonable. Only complaint he had was the chair being uncomfortable and I told him to take a chair pad or pillow next time.. he said she had one and should have asked. So that’s on him lol You can tell she is passionate about what she does because she's fair and does beautiful work. Your hands are BLESSED! Thank youuuu.

I have gotten my braids from her twice and she did not disappoint. Not only was she so kind and accomodating, the braids we popping! She also works fast and her prices are resonable. Worth every penny.

I love my braids!! Ms. J did such a beautiful job!! My hair came out perfect! She was so nice and welcoming, made me feel super comfortable the whole time. You can tell she really cares about her clients and takes her time to make sure everything looks amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I 100% recommend her to anyone looking to get their hair done right!

I cannot say enough amazing things about my experience with Jay at Beyond Braids! I just recently moved to the Houston area and, after doing tons of research, I decided to go with Beyond Braids because of the consistently incredible reviews — especially the ones mentioning Jay. Let me tell you, every word of praise is 100% deserved. As someone who’s been loyal to one braider for years, I was definitely nervous about trying someone new. But from the moment I walked in, Jay completely put me at ease. She was warm, welcoming, and had such an intuitive, calming energy — it felt like I had known her for years. Not only is Jay an exceptionally talented braider, but her attention to detail and technique are unmatched. I was honestly blown away by how clean, precise, and beautiful my braids turned out. I couldn't stop smiling after seeing the finished look — she exceeded all of my expectations. But what truly set this experience apart was the vibe. Jay’s energy, conversation, and overall presence turned what could have been a routine appointment into something so much more. We laughed, we talked, and it genuinely felt like catching up with an old friend. Ms. J is such an amazing person and a blessing to be around. Not only does she make sure she understands what you want for your hair, she also educates in the process of delivering your request. I was so scared due to previous mishaps with another stylist, but she calmed my worries immediately and my final result were more than I could ask for. Will definitely be returning for future protective styles to be done. Thank you again Ms. J for everything :). I would definitely recommend her and services. You will not be disappointed.
